As time passes, our lives are becoming increasingly dependent on modern advancements. Today, we need tools, gadgets, or electricity-powered devices for almost everything.

With changing times, habits evolve as well. In this age of advanced technology, people rely more on machines than manual effort. It’s true that when one loses the habit of doing things manually, dependence on external resources increases. While depending on technology is acceptable, excessive reliance can be harmful.



                   Necessity of Social Media

  • In today's world, social media has become essential for communication, business, and even academic tasks in schools and colleges.
  • From children to youth and elderly people, everyone depends on social networks like WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. Using them responsibly is important, but only within personal boundaries.
  • Many people have made social media an integral part of their lives, as it allows them to showcase their talents and skills to the world.
  • Social media also enables women to work from home, manage household responsibilities, and support their families financially by engaging in online jobs.


                           Deception of Media

  • Media often deceives people with false advertisements and misleading opportunities for its own promotions.
  • Through new technologies, it constantly introduces people to new platforms, some of which misuse personal data by creating fake apps.
  • While many benefit from social media, others misuse it, causing harm through hacking or other malicious activities.
  • Media must take action against such violations by blocking harmful apps, but the creation of new ones continues unchecked.


                        Downfall of the Youth

  • Social media platforms, drama series, and films are attracting children towards action-oriented content rather than providing platforms to help them improve their skills.
  • Empathy among people is decreasing day by day, leading to constant trolling of celebrities and TikTokers through viral videos.
  • Instead of addressing the reasons behind these videos or stopping them, people mindlessly forward them, contributing to the problem.


                           Erosion of Respect

  • Social media has given people the freedom to disrespect others openly without any accountability. No one is safe—whether it’s a worker, officer, civilian, or even a politician.
  • People create and spread memes targeting others, destroying their self-respect.
  • This growing trend has pushed many towards depression, crime, and even suicide.


                             A Call to Action

  • We must raise awareness about this escalating issue and take steps to control it. Only then can everyone live in a society where respect and dignity are preserved.
